  GREETINGS FROM ALL THE MARINOS! Jared graduated massage therapy school and before settling down into a job search, travelled to Palermo, Sicily for 8 days. It was his first time travelling anywhere alone, and it was a trip to remember! He has been hired by Massage Envy, loves it so far, and moved out the week of Thanksgiving into a nearby high rise, that has a lovely 6th floor view with Lake Erie as the backdrop. He is still working at the service station on the weekends, and we stop in often on the way home from church to get gas, visit, or grab a pic of him for my newsletter! Deb is flying around the area as a flight medic for the Cleveland Clinic, after waiting for a about two years, and we have been on the ground a couple of times as she flew right over us! Deb often sends pics of the beautiful scenery from the helicopter. She is busy with her horse Gypsy, travelling around to find beautiful places to ride, and putting in a lot of time working at the barn. And Toby is always ...

Stay at Home Wife

When my husband and I were engaged, we discussed many topics: how many kids we wanted, what would our household budget look like, where to go to church, and if I would work or stay home. Yes, you read that last one right. We weren't going to have kids right away, and so it would seem like a no-brainer  that I would work until we started having kids, and so the question would be where to work, not if to work. That's what most of my peers were doing, but I wanted out. Out of the working world, where women can be vicious back-stabbers and gossips, or just silly, and men either patronize you or sell you short, or just do not know how to treat you. Out of someone else's schedule and demands and agenda. Out of the working world, where I would have to work not only for someone else, but work for my husband as well, keeping house and cooking.              Christmas   Greetings from the Marinos! A few news items from our house: Deb officially adopted Gypsy and works at the barn for her room and board when she is not doing her paramedic job or making beautiful quilts. Sometimes she is working on our side of town and crashes at our place and then hangs out with us for a while. I love it when she does that! Lewis and Kaitlynn tied the knot just this month! We are all so happy for the newly wedded couple and thankful Kaitlynn is a part of our family. Margie and James and their passel of cats continue to live in warm, sunny AZ. Margie traveled to San Diego and also conquered her fear of flying alone and came to Cleveland for the wedding. Jared is working steadily toward his associates degree and continues to write, create, make music and entertain his siblings. He recently taught himself how to bind books, and he is becoming conversational in Italian.           ...
